She that was born
On a Wednesday,
What will you do,
When the fires starts to burn,
When the harmattan wind
Blows the hot coal
Into a raging bushfire?

I wish fires were obedient
But they don’t heed to mother’s counsel
They don’t remember resolutions
Even when you mean it.
So what will you do pretty one,
When your belly churns and turns
Leaving you on the floor
Like you had a seizure,
A lightning of passion
Setting your body aflame?

Tell me,
what will you do?
Will you put a bible
over your heart and thighs,
Hoping it will stop his stares
And unholy caresses?
Maybe you will not feel a thing
And he will fear your solemn face
And respect your church clothes.

I wish fires were selective
If only they will stick to bad eggs
And leave angels untouched
But fires don’t discern
They will not pity your religious stance
for they consume even priests
reducing them to residues on the altar
Fires burn everything
They consume with passion
Even commandments melt like wax

Sit by me child
Let my wisdom
Like a blanket,
cover your soul

In this dark world
That burns with cold flames
Don’t wake love,
Don’t spark passion
Because you are curious
And his lips looks delicious
Fire will always be fire
He burns on the Olympic torch
But he plays no games

I know an old soldier
That never drops his gun
Hide Laraba!
Guide your chest
For your heart is his target
And the oasis where your thighs meet
Is where he desires to retire

Never strike a match, my child
Unless you are ready to burn
For ashes go with the wind,
Reminding us of what we have lost.

I breathe in music, and exhale words tastefully woven for your soul's pleasure. When high on sarcasm, I could smash your ribs into fine pieces. But whether on a stage, singing out my heart, on in Solitude, scribbling out mysteries, my greatest aim is to bless humanity with the essence of my being.

  • Temi's Itoro

This makes me think of my little sister. She just graduated from secondary school and she’s such a pretty little thing. Sometimes I wonder if she understands all the advice I give her or why. These days I just pray.

Yeah , Itoro. I remember being really scared for my younger sister too. There’s this protective covering we really to give our younger folks even though we know they’ll make their own mistakes and learn from them. We just want to lend the wisdom from the wealth of our experience and see how far it goes.

      Thanks my Itoro.
      Thanks for visiting.

Impact lives? That’s the aim. And as the Lord lives, we wouldn’t shift focus.

Thanks for stopping by Glo. And Joshua is still that dope writer.
